It would be difficult to define Jesus Christ, because defining Him, it is to limit Him. However, one can have an idea of His personality, His dignity, His nature, His works, by drawing one’s inspiration from the titles which He has in all the framework of the Holy Scriptures, and of the work that He achieved. He said about Himself: 'All things are delivered to me of my Father: and no man knoweth who the Son is, but the Father; and who the Father is, but the Son, and he to whom the Son will reveal him. And he turned him unto his disciples, and said privately: Blessed are the eyes which see the things that ye see: for I tell you, that many prophets and kings have desired to see those things which ye see, and have not seen them; and to hear those things which ye hear, and have not heard them.'

Some of His Titles Jesus is recognized under several titles among which here are some: He is seen as being God and Creator (John 1:1-3; Colossians 1:15, 16; Colossians 2:9; John 20:28); God issued from God (John 1:1; 17:8); Wonderful, Counsellor, the mighty God, the everlasting Father, the Prince of Peace (Isaiah 9:6); the Word of God, King of kings, Lord of lords (Revelation 19:13 and 16); the Head of all principality and power (Colossians 2:10); the Life (John 14:6); the Light of the world (John 8:12); second Adam (I Corinthians 15:45), Advocate (I John 2:1); the Almighty (Rev. 1:8); the Alpha and Omega (Rev. 1:8), the Amen (Rev.
3:14); the Missiah (Daniel 9:25); God our Justice (Jeremiah 23:6); the Author and finisher of our faith (Hebrews 12:2); the Author of eternal salvation (Heb. 5:9); the Beginning of the creation of God (Rev. 3:14); the beloved Servant (Mat. 12:18); the Cornerstone (Psalm 118:22); the Bread of life (John 6:32); Prince of salvation (Heb.
2:10); the Chief Shepherd (I Peter 5:4); Christ of God (Luke 9:20); the Consolation of Israel (Luke 2:25); Son of God (Mat. 3:17; 16:16; 27:54); Lamb of God (John 1:29), etc. All these names are sacred, and they make possible to see various dimensions of the mission of Christ, under several angles, but always contributing to the same finality: He is the Saviour and the Lord of the world. Could one minimize these titles, doubt them or to call them into question, while claiming to be Christian?
He who spends his time discussing these titles vainly, may believe having faith in God, but, although he is free to have his own opinions, isn't he actually vacuum or filled with inoperative ideas? He is proud and he has been doting on questions and strifes of words. Paul the apostle says well: 'If any man teach otherwise, and consent not to wholesome words, even the words of our Lord Jesus Christ, and to the doctrine which is according to godliness, he is proud, knowing nothing, but doting about questions and strifes of words, whereof cometh envy, strife, railings, evil surmisings, perverse disputings of men of corrupt minds, and destitute of the truth, supposing that gain is godliness: from such withdraw thyself.' (I Timothy 6:3-5).
All these names are thus sacred, and they should be pronounced with reverence, because we thereby call upon the supreme authority of the universe. But are we conscious thereof? Paul recognizes this divine sovereignty which causes 'That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.'
What did Jesus do with all these titles? He was in company with the poor, with those who were rejected, with the publicans; He went through Palestine, and the close countries, often on foot, He taught and He cured the sick (Matth. 4:23, 24; John 9:1-7; Mark 2:10,11; Matthew 5-7; Matthew 9:1-8; Luke 6:17-19, etc.). He gained the confidence of crowd, the multitude followed him, and, without technological means of communication! (Matthew 4:25; Luke 6:17-19) He is resurrected from the dead. (John 11:17-45; Matthew 9:23,25; Luke 7:11-16, etc). He faced Satan and overcame him. (Matthew 4:1-11; Luke 10:18,19; John 16:33). He has the authority on the elements of nature. (Mark 4:35-41). He walked on the sea. (Matthew 14:25). He prayed for those who crucified Him (Luke 23:34); He forgives sins. (John 8:11; Matthew 9:2-6; Acts 10:43); He fulfilled prophecy. (Isaiah 53).

He taught Love, and put it into practice, revealed it to the world, and gave His life for the redemption of the world. (John 10:14-18). He died by crucifixion, and was resurrected. (John 20:1-17). That is why he sows doubts in us and in the churches by sometimes surging debates, which are only factors of spiritual impotence.
Thus, many people, however Christian, profaned these words by replacing them by vain speeches and speculations or human theories, for the happiness of Satan. And the question still arises for a restoration of the conception of sacredness in us, and in all its dimensions. Do you really believe in these words of Jesus? Do you believe, that Jesus, being alive and eternal, His words are also alive and eternal? Isn't it time that we believe in all the words of the Gospel, as sacred Word, for our happiness and the glory of the Lord? Is it not thus time to put an end to being difiled human theories and philosophies, which are actually enemies of faith, and to come back to the Word of the living God? Jesus Christ has overcome the world, and Satan is condemned for ever.
