Not great for flying Like some other reviews I've read on here, I experienced the pure frustration of trying to do work on the plane on my new iPad only to be incessantly banging on Like some other reviews I've read on here, I experienced the pure frustration of trying to do work on the plane on my new iPad only to be incessantly banging on the keyboard wondering why it is not working. After doing 4 plane rides with the keyboard, I have come to the conclusion that after reaching a certain altitude the keyboard stops connecting to the iPad (as the iPad brings up the on-screen keyboard in the Word app).
I expect this is an issue that Apple is aware of, for when I brought the keyboard after the 14 days voicing my concerns, they took it back for a full refund with no problem. I am going to hold off buying a new Apple keyboard until they address this issue because other than this annoying problem, the keyboard was excellent and allowed me to not have to bring my laptop with me everywhere anymore. Magnet and the connection is good/ not great. However, give it a good shake that IPad Pro will go flying.The design really needs some side gri,on at least the 2 top corners. The action is horrible. I noticed sometimes I had to hit a key sometimes 3 times before it would type a letter!
The Numbers also don’t respond well. I have tiny Xs hands with no long nails. So it’s not m,e every other key board I use works just fine. Just poor response and design.
I question if they made it so fragile so people would blow through these every year or have their IPads fly out leading to broken bits. Seriously, give me 5 min in the design room. For the price does not protect. The keyboard is not a protective device for my new iPad pro! It has slipped out several times and fallen to the floor. No side protection or corner protection.
